Running a great event is a full-time job. It's ours. TrailBlaze designs, organises, and delivers outdoor events end to end: mapping and course setting, entries and timing, health and safety, marshals and logistics, and everything in between.
If you've got the venue, the community, or the idea, we'll handle the rest.
We work off a trained crew of around 40 course setters, controllers, starters, timekeepers, marshals, and first aiders, scaled to the size of the day. A club race and a 2,500-person school series get the same standard, just a different number of people on the ground.

We deliver contracted events on behalf of clubs and regional bodies, from local races to championship-level competition, so volunteers can race instead of run the show.

In 2026 TrailBlaze took over delivery of four of the five Auckland Schools Sprint Series zones. Twenty-two race days across six weeks, on school grounds all over the region, in Term 1.
Around 2,500 students raced. They entered just under 10,000 times between them, because most came back week after week. Every event drew 50 to 100 parents to the sideline, which across the series is well over a thousand parent visits.
Each of those days needs a mapped venue, a set course, a controller, timing that works first time, and a crew that knows what it is doing when 600 kids arrive at once. We scaled the roster to the day and ran the same standard at every one.

Partnership
Kahawai Point is an 800-lot coastal development at Glenbrook, built in partnership with Ngati Te Ata. It had the coastline, the trails, and a community moving in. What it did not have was a reason for anyone else to come and see it.
We are building one. The Kahawai Pt Coastal Classic runs on Sunday 4 October 2026, and TrailBlaze is delivering it end to end: the course, the entries, the branding, the health and safety plan, and the crew on the day. Every finisher gets a shirt.
This is the shape of a landowner partnership. You bring the place. We bring the event, and the people who want to race on it.
Championship level
Our operations manager, Neill McGowan, was Event Director for the Auckland Triple Crown in 2024, three World Ranking Events over King's Birthday weekend that doubled as national team selection. Callum supported delivery. Championship events run on the same fundamentals as a school sprint, with less room for error.
We work in adventure racing too. TrailBlaze is part of the organising team for the Bivouac Outdoor Canterbury Adventure Race, a Crazy Kea Events race that sends teams out for three, six, or nine hours across Canterbury and doubles as the Canterbury Schools Adventure Racing Championships.
